Te invitamos a celebrar con nosotros a un estimado amigo, un hombre de familia y fotógrafo. El trabajo del Sr. Pushinky que documenta el Distrito de la Misión y San Francisco en los últimos 30 años es único e incomparable. A través de su carrera como fotógrafo le dio a San Francisco, y al Distrito de la Misión en particular, una visión matizada de sí mismo. Mostró lo complicados que somos, documentando momentos de violencia y valentía junto con imágenes de intimidad, ternura, espiritualidad y calidez.

En las obras de Ted, se nos recuerda que no podemos ver el alma de San Francisco mirando una imagen postal del puente Golden Gate. Solo podemos verlo realmente a través de los ojos de un miembro dotado y complejo de nuestra comunidad, como Ted. Vemos el alma de San Francisco en el trabajo de Ted. Ese es su legado.

Esta también será la última oportunidad de ver el exquisito tributo de Ted a San Francisco en su exposición “Historias Locales”. Únase a familiares y amigos para admirar el trabajo de Ted, compartir algunos recuerdos, contribuir a un altar comunitario y honrar la vida de un gran hombre.

“Historias Locales: Fotos de San Francisco” de Ted Pushinsky estará en exhibición hasta el 24 de febrero en la Galería Juan R. Fuentes en Acción Latina. El horario de la galería es de martes a sábado de 11 a.m. a 5 p.m.
