Historia de El Tecolote

TecoHistory

Often referencing a diverse array of Latino cultures and the neighborhood I grew up in, my work documents the good and the bad that exists within the broad spectrum of where I call home. My work depicts subjects such as gentrification, community, spirituality and family. I work with vibrant colors and iridescent acrylic paint in order to honor and record the reality as well as the spirit of the subjects I choose

Hailing from diverse age groups and ethnicities, they all came together over one thing, which was graffiti. From this art form, the most unlikely friendship blossomed, which is a beautiful thing.
