Ted Pushinsky ha estado tomando fotos en las calles de San Francisco desde que se mudó a la ciudad a fines de la década de 1960. Lo han llamado el “hombre de estado más viejo” de fotografía de las calles de San Francisco y su trabajo como parte del colectivo fotográfico Hamburger Eyes ha ayudado a inspirar un renacimiento en la fotografía callejera a principios de la década del 2000.

El próximo show de Pushinsky es una colección principalmente de fotos del distrito de La Misión en los últimos 30 años. San Francisco y el Distrito de la Misión, en particular, han cambiado mucho y Ted ha documentado cada etapa de esa transición. Pero, para usar su propia frase, Ted “no es cautivador de la nostalgia”. Comparando dos fotos que tomó en la esquina de la 24 y Misión (una en los 80 y otra a principios de la década de 2000) dijo: “Esos podrían ser los mismos niños, lo único que ha cambiado es la moda de vestir”.

Estamos verdaderamente honrados de recibir a Ted en su primera exposición individual en una galería en el corazón de la Misión.
