We will be hosting a screenprinting and embroidery workshop as part of this year’s Frida Kahlo Festival, the annual celebration of all things Frida. Participants will screenprint one of three Frida-inspired images on a canvas bag, cure it and then proceed to embellish the bag with basic embroidery stitches. During stitch time, we’ll talk about Frida’s life, her love of embroidery and how practicing traditional arts is connected to community action. Folks get to take home a screenprinted tote.

Check out the Official Facebook Page for the full events schedule.

Our offices may be closed, but we are still doing amazing work with cultural events and El Tecolote, our bilingual newspaper.
